Aspirational
A two-minute trailer that's better than the movie it advertises is still not as good as this one-minute film.
SEATTLE, WA - I went to the ol' cinema to see this film 'Gemini' over the weekend. It was ok. Check out the trailer below, you might see why was so intriguing. Unfortunately the movie is not fully fleshed out like the trailer leads one to believe. It's a fine film, but there is some serious potential there that goes completely unrealized. While not bad, and still having flashes of memorable moments, it's frustrating that ultimately the film is just a 90-minute version of a really good trailer. Ah well.
Anyway, the reason we're actually here is this very, very short film 'Aspirational,' which was shown before the 'Gemini' screening. It's already four years old, but this was the first time I had seen it, and felt it must be shared. It stars Kirsten Dunst, and it's funny, and sadly more relevant now than it was then.
