Dance on the Blacktop

Sometimes you just need a straightforward rock album, and for me this does the trick. It may not be Rush, or let's even say Steel Panther (whom I love), but this a darn good slab of rock. I'm going to use that word again, so get ready ... yes, "shoegaze." Not that this album embodies the style or vibe of your regular, day-today shoegaze, but their guitars do have that sound from time to time, which gives it this nice cinematic feel to their brand of rock. Don't let that album cover scare you away, this is a lovely album ... if you're ready to rock.
