The Breeders

All Nerve

It seems like whenever The Breeders release a new album the general sentiment is they've "reunited" or "are back," as if they ever went away. And why this is considered the "classic" line-up I don't understand because it's not the original ... but it is the most well-known line-up, having recorded and toured the "Cannonball'-included 'Last Spash' way back in good' ol 1993. Every Breeders album has it's own sound and vibe while remaining unmistakenably The Breeders, but this, their fifth full-length, is more in line with 'Last Splash,' just with a much more mellow vibe overall. It's a beautifully relaxed listening experience, perfect for the band's long-time devotees.
